REVIEW:
For King and Country
By someone whose name I cannot remember. But the book had a person on it. XP. Um… Robert Asprin and someone else. A girl’s name. Heh.
This is a book about a couple people. Based off of some degree of Authorian legend, it demonstrates incredible research on the actual facts bringing the legend to life. Sent back in time, nothing is what it seems for the two main characters. The story is twisted around a web of conspiracy and politics, the two character’s minds hosted in the minds of two important beings to the timeline.
Very real in feel, the story contains a bit of use of language, sexuality in one scene (though not as bad as Dune…), and of course obvious violence. It has several full out war scenes, and quite a bit of intruige.
Nothing is what it seems…
The story could’ve been made all the more intensive by playing this up a lot more, but all in all, it was a worthwhile read.
